Big Hill is just southeast of Sibley, MO. Fort Osage was located in the midst of the original portion of Sibley. The fort ceased operations in 1827 and was long gone by the Civil War. You can see the Big Hill on the east side of BB Hwy, north of BUckner before BB bends to the West and becomes Blue Mills Road.
