His discharge paper says this:

“Said soldier is subject to fits, having as many as four or five in the course of 24 hours & is also subject to mental derangement at times. Disability incurred since enlistment.”

He enlisted at Lebanon on Feb 1, 1862. He was out by Jan 12, 1863.

And mustered in for duty in Rolla on March 30 1862.
