Here is some of what appears in The 24th Missouri Volunteer Infantry "Lyon Legion" by J. Randall Houp: Married twice, 4 children, gave his residence as Christian County at enlistment in 1862. Shown as a cook....Discharged 12 January 1863 at Van Buren, Missouri for epilepsy; "subject to fits." Died in 1929 in Howell County and is buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Poe Hill. Lot more information in the book...hope you can find a copy.
