Thank you for your reply in regards to Greenville Hawkins. In 1886 he was living here in Franklin County, Mo. and married my G.Grandfather Adam R. Howards youngest daughter Emmaline on Sep. 1 st. Adam was a veteran of the Confederate cavalry and was a graduate of the Alton Military prison being released on taking of the oath at the end of the war and died within a few years as a result of the ill treatment he endured as a guest of the Federal authorities . In later years Greenville owned and operated a General Store at Lanes Prairie , Mo. passing away in 1920 and being buried at High Gate cemetery near his home. At Nineteen years of age in 1865 he certainly would have been of age to be a recruit for one of the partisan bands Thank you once again for your effort in research on the matter .
