Another reference located on the Garibaldi Rifles. It seems they actually were the Austrian Model 1849 .71 caliber arm sold by the Austrians to Italian Revolutionaries. So, perhaps they are indistinguishable from other European rifles sold to the U.S. that were converted to percussion. The caliber may give them away. Bob
