My maternal great-great grandfather was Green Petty. He is listed in H. Grady Howell, Jr.'s book "For Dixie Land I'll Take My Stand!". Mr. Howell's information indicates he was a Private; G (Company); 32nd Regt. Infan.

That was the first and only military information I have on him. I have just started researching my family history so any information you could provide would be appreciated.

Green Petty's son Green Wesley Petty was a Private in Company F; 26th Regt. Infan. He is buried in the Fraley Chapel Cemetery in Corinth, MS. I have a picture of his grave.
