John H. Tabor

I am searching for any information about what happened to John H. Tabor of Marshall County, MS. He was on the 1860 census, then just disappeared. At the Old Capitol in Jackson a few years ago, I found a John H. Tabor's record:Co. D, MS Inf (Confederate), John H. Tabor, Pvt., age 70 (could this possibly be right?), joined August 10, 1861 for one year, in Memphis,TN. There is a barely readable card number - 4773329(?)2. The man I am looking for was born in 1813. His wife was Nancy O. Gibson Tabor. They were married in Alabama in 1834, moved to Marshall County around 1838. He had a son, Thad, born 1850, who also disappeared. Daughter Nancy and wife appeared in Ashley County, AR, in 1870. Can anyone help me determine if the age on this card could be accurate? Thanks.
