My history shows that this unit was formed late in the war and was known as Moorman's Battalion in June of 1864. Miller's company did not join Mooreman's until October of 1864 and the designation of the "24th Mississippi Battalion was not official until January 24, 1865. Miller's company is listed in October of 1864, as an "old and good" company. So what unit was T.M. Lea in November of 1863?
