The Last Battle by Spence was supposedly published in a number of other eastern newspapers (Spence only cited the Courier Journal in a personal letter from 1904)....since he wound up living in northern Kentucky and serving as postmaster in Newport, the article could have run in the Cincinatti papers as well. I am also looking for the article.
