Hi Steven:

Not all of the soldiers who died at Durant fought in the Battle of Shiloh in April 1862. There is one soldier from the 3rd Louisiana Infantry and two soldiers from the 12th Louisiana Infantry who died in October and December 1862 at Durant. These regiments were not engaged at Shiloh and did not come to northern Mississippi until the summer of 1862.
