I reviewed my book "To Live and Die In Dixie" a history of the 3rd Miss. By H. Grady Howell. There is only one mention of Daniel Holder in this book and it is a roster listing. I also did a check for Lyman but could not find a listing for that area either. I will check today to see if the local newspaper exsisted at that time.

BTW do you know the location of the cemetery where he is buried. Is it in Harrison Co.?
