My ggrandfather Robert ALLEN died 15 May 1862. I just received the information this week. It is stated that he was in Columbus Hospital, Amount of money left $2.50 and Effects; $400 . I would like to know where he is buried,
and if he was killed in batttle or died of wounds or disease.He was in Nixon's 48th, Col John D. Ives name is
also listed on these papers.
The letter I received stated just stated Columbus Hospital,
I suppose they meant Columbus Ms.????
