George W. Frazier
In Response To: For George Purvis ()

Garland:

G.W. Frazier (1837-1911), 1st Sgt - Co. F, 3rd MS Bn, is buried in the Steele Cemetery in Steele, AL. He is my gg-gfather.
I have never heard that he was buried somewhere else - and then he was reburied in Steele? How did you find out he was buried in the Truss Ferry Cemetery? I am very interested in seeing your information. No one in the Frazier family has ever mentioned this information (at least to me) Is it possible this information was forgotton by the family?

FYI, Rufus Sansom (19 AL Rgmt) is also buried in the Steele Cemetery. He was the brother of Emma Sansom, the Alabama heroine (She helped out Nathan Bedford Forrest a little so he could capture Abel Streight and the "Lightning Mule Brigade").
