The Elias Polk Grave is in the Society Hill Cemetery on Highway 13 north of Columbia (about 12-14 miles). The cemetery is right on the highway and it is a large one. As you are driving north toward Prentiss, the cemetery is on the right. The church sits back behind the cemetery. The older graves are back near the church. The Elias Polk grave is fairly easy to find, as it is one of about three or four marked by CS style VA stones. (upright, pointed top).

The John W. Thompson and Lewis Newsom graves are nearby. John W. is under a civilian stone, next to his wife's grave (C. E. Thompson)
