Re: 1st. Battalion, Mississippi Sharpshooters Comp

Hi, In the 1850 census of Yalobusha County, I find in household 527
Thos. J Dollahite 35 b Tenn
Lucy 30 b Tenn
John 14 b Tenn
DAVID 13 b Tenn
Jasper 11 b Miss
Ann 9 b Miss
Richard 10 mo Miss
Could David be your man. I also see in this book that another daughter of Thomas J & Kate Duke, Lucy must have died, Leland, obviously born after 1850, married John Edmund Nov 16, 1902. This info came from the book "Yalobusha Bound" by Chris B Morgan. A book about the census of 1850 & the people in it. Lots of geneology info on most of the folks in Yalobusha at that time. Yalobusha County at that time included Calhoun County and Grenada counties. Hope this helps. John
