Family researchers suggest the J.T. Hughes buried in the Old Crystal Springs Cemetery is Joseph Terry Hughes.

Also buried in this cemetery is a younger brother William P.D. Hughes, a member of Company A, Powers Regt. Miss. Cavalry. J.T. Hughes is also listed as a member of this same company and regiment.

He is listed as Joseph T. Hughes in the 1850 Copiah County Census, in the same family as the link above.
