Ok, so I just found the headstone in question on find-a-grave which was listed on the link you posted earlier regarding Joseph Hughes, and there is no indiction on it as to any Confederate service, so, perhaps this isn't one in the same. Without badmouthing the MCGR or the people behind it, I am now wondering what eviedence they used to establish that this was the burial location of the CPL J(ohn)T. Hughes from English's Battery.
