The unit my gggrandfather was assigned to was a Provost guard co. Under a captain Gilbert,who was with Nixion Cav.with the help of mr. Allen pitts i found most of this out. I would like to know more about the company.
As my ggg only fought the last year of the war no records have been found, but his service was confirm as he did receive a confederate penion.But I always would like to know more.
