My great grandfather John Clark was a member of Co I, Ham's Mississippi Calvary, and is buried at Plesant Springs Presbyterian Cementery near Preston, Kemper County, MS. Can anyone tell me the date of death as his confederate marker only reads: John Clark, CO I, Ham;s, MS CAV, CSA. We think he died in 1886. Is there any Confederate Veteran records that would have documentation of John Clark? He was born 1834 in South Carolina and married Francis Teer at Kellis Store, Kemper County, MS in 1861.
