One of my g g grandfathers was captain of Co. I of the 26th infantry, MS. He was taken prisoner at Ft. Donelson. I have found a partial list of prisoners exchanged at Vicksburg in Sept. 1862 and who they were exchanged for on the other side. He was not on the partial list. Does anyone know where the full list of prisoners exchanged could be located/obtained? Secondly, he was transported from Johnson's Island on the Steamship John H. Done. It would be great to obtain a photo of the ship. Might anyone know where such a photo could be found?
