This officer (Capt. Madison T. Burton) has a long and distinguished service record. His service file reports him among prisoners released at Vicksburg MS, Sept. 20, 1862, and much other useful information.

For what it's worth, John H Done was General Superintendent of the Illinois Central Railroad 1855-56.
