William H. Renick/Rennick

I am looking for any information on William H. Renick/Rennick born 1815. He was the son of William H. Renick of Company E of the 14th MS. Young William H. Renick/Rennick moved to Arkansas after 1840 and is listed on the 1850 Poinsett Co Census, He moved to the town of Baxter TX and is on the 1860 Census. Because he lived in Arkansas and moved to Texas I assume he was in an Texas Unit. I think he gets mixed up with his cousins like William Henry Renick/Rennick who lived across the line in LaFayette Co MO. I heard after the war William was a revenue collector in the 1870's and he was shot. And info is appreciated. Keith
