Hi Rick, thanks for your help. I must be getting old because I gave out misinformation even after writing the Renick book. William Hamilton Renick who lived for a short time in North Alabama first married Phoebe Titus and then Ann Rogers. William Hamilton Renick's first son was James Titus Renick. James Titus Renick was with the Co. D 2nd Miss Inf and he had 3 sons (1) William Jasper Renick Co E 14th MS (2) Thomas J Renick Co H 34th MS and (3) Andrew Jackson Renick Co I 2nd MS Cav (State Reserves)......William Hamilton Renick's last son was William H. Renick born 1815 who married Margaret Logan and they moved to Poinsett Arkansas and were on the 1850 census. This William H. Renick moved to the town of Baxter Texas. This William H. Renick also had a son Andrew Jackson Renick and they live in Arkansas. Age didn't always mean much for the Confederate States. Old men and young boys also fought. I read an account of Sherman's march through Georgia and when they were near Macon, 3,000 Confederates who were locals scrapped from farms, schools, jails and anywhere they could find them attached Sherman's line. What the Confederates didn't know was that they attacked union troops who had repeating rifles. They were cut down crossing an open field. In a letter written by one of the Union guys, he noted that on the next day they found a granddaddy and his son and his grandson all dead and they had all fallen almost on top of one another. 3 generatons wipped out at one time. Thank you for your help, it is appreciated. Best Regards, Keith
