In Response To: Carroll Rifles - Co. K ()

Ed,
The flag of the Carroll Rifles survived the war. At one time it
was in the Mississippi State Museum at Jackson. This flag was
withdrawn from that institution on May 3, 1938 by a Mrs. W. H. Price
of the UDC. It was last seen in the Sheriff's Office at Carrolton, Ms.
A supposed reproduction of this flag is now in a local museum at
Carrollton.
Does anyone have a clue as to the location and status of the original
flag?
