You're correct. This board is probably the best place to start research about any
Mississippi Confederate Unit.
I too am interested in the Minute Men.
You are correct about the civilian aspect of the dress and arms of these fellows.
Is there a particular Minute Men "Regiment" that you have an interest ? As I'm sure you know,
Dunbar Rowland's Military History of Mississippi: 1803-1898 is the best public resource
available to start your research.
The men are a very difficult bunch to research. There's not allot of material about them.
The quality of Minute Men varied dramatically between various units, "regiments" ect.
