I am not sure this is your man. As later muster rolls are not available, we do not know if he subsequently rejoined his command. You might
want to check out Mississippi pension records.

Denson for 12 months, recorded March 6, 1863 as absent without leave Nov. 1 to Nov. 20, absent without leave since December 12, 1862, no further records

* This company subsequently became Company D, 1st Battalion Infantry, Mississippi State Troops (12 months, 1862-3)

Muster Rolls,

Oct. 1 to Oct. 31, 1862,
We have been at Jackson [Miss.] this last month doing police guard duty, Jno Hall, Comding Co.

Nov & Dec, 1862 dtd March 6, 1863
We have been stationed at Jackson for the past two months doing police guard duty and guarding of government stores, Dec. 31, 1862 J.M. Hall, Comding Co. D

Jany. & Feb., 1863, dtd Feb. 28, 1863
We have been stationed at Jackson the last two months performing police guard duty and extra duty. J. M. Hall, Comding Co. D

There are no surviving later muster rolls. However, one would believe they would have served out their one year term through July, 1863.

Believe they served in Pemberton's army in Gregg's brigade as mounted troops at the Battles of Raymond, May 12, 1863 and Jackson, May 14 serving under Capt. J. M. Hall
