State Troops disbanded following the surrender at Vicksburg. What organization or commander did this man claim in his pension application?

Please understand that state pension boards received all pension applications as claims of service, not bona fide evidence by themselves. Pension applications made by surviving veterans had to be examined and proved based on records available to us today. Otherwise he needed to provide certified statements by two veterans who belonged to his command that could verify the claim.
