Alan: I appreciate your info. The info I had came from a manuscript by members of his family, coming from Mississippi to San Augustine, Texas. It stated he served in the 16th Inf. Co. B of the Union army. I too find it hard to imagine. His sons that were killed during 1863 were William J. Lee and John M. Lee. Both served in Mississippi confederate units. Lynn
