Alan: Nothing else was mentioned, and I feel the statement made abt. him being a soldier is incorrect. I have 2 of his sons, at least 2 different sets of his in-laws, and cousins that all served in the Confederacy, so it is hard for me to figure he fought for the Union, especially when he is supposed to have been related to the great Gen.
