C., 5' 11", on detached service (unspecified) from April 8, 1863, receipted for issues of clothing May 2 & June 29, 1864, Smythe's Company is listed as [Gen.] Loring's Escort, no further records

Also in Capt. Smyth's Company were Hugh M. Simpson, age 23 and John M. Simpson, age 27
