Re: New 11th MS marker at Sharpsburg

NO, my dad was in construction in Texas. He was the great grand son of Wilson B. Taylor, younger brother to Joseph L. Taylor and Ronald Taylor, both of the 11th Miss Infantry. Wilson B. Taylor left Mississippi to flee the destruction and yellow fever after the civil war. He settled around Mc Dade Texas, just west of Austin where he is now buried. There was a Dr. Taylor in the family that my dad (now deceased) told me about who died in the field after a Yankee charge over a hill. I can look him up but will take a few days. I am not sure how Wilson B. Taylor got in the Calvary since his brothers were in the 11th. I am looking for his confederate pentio letter now. Maybe that will tell me. Any history on the 18th Miss Calvary would be appreciated. I have lots on the 11th Miss Infantry but little on the 18th cav.
