Jeff, I really enjoyed that, especially the pics of the flags of the Liberty Guards and the 41st Mississippi. Regarding the flag of the Liberty Guards they mustered in on the same day (4-27-1861) as the Amite Rifles (Co. C 7th Miss. Vols). Since this took place in the same town I have always suspected the Amite Rifles were also given a flag that day but have never seen or heard of anything certain. I had kin in the Liberty Guards and feel blessed that their Company flag survives. Thanks for the great update. Here are some of my kin in that Company as I have them listed in my notes...
