Stationed near Holly Springs, Mississippi, August 1-October 31,
1862.
August 25.— Attack on Rienzi with loss of one captured and one
injured by fall from horse.
September 19.— Skirmish near Iuka with loss of two killed and
five severely wounded. Two horses killed and five wounded.

October 4.— In the evening was in skirmish near Corinth on the
Mobile and Ohio Railroad. Had two horses killed and one man
slightly injured by fall from horse.

Stationed at Coldwater Depot, Mississippi, February-March
1863.

Station not stated, December 31, 1863-May 15, 1864.

Stationed at Race Tracks, Mobile, Alabama, June 30-October 31,

The 7th Regiment Mississippi Cavalry was organized August 1, 1862, as the 1st Regiment Mississippi Partisan Rangers, was temporarily disbanded November 15, 1862, and re-organized March 1, 1863. The designation was changed Augst 1, 1864, to the 7th Regiment Mississippi Cavalry by S. O. No. 169, A. & I. G. O., dated July 19, 1864.
