These are two different men. The man in the 46th enlisted in October '62, was paroled at Vicksburg, exchanged in October '63, was on duty with the 46th in Nov-Dec '63, and Jan-Feb '64, was captured at Allatoona in October '64, and was sent to Camp Chase, Ohio, where he likely sat out the rest of the war. Those dates and facts would not allow him to join another unit in April '64, and remain with that unit until the surrender in May '65.
