37th MS Infantry Co C and G

I am researching my 3rd great grandfather Joel A McPherson. He was in the 37th MS Infantry, Company C. I have found his muster rolls at the archive and the last card shows "non-paroled". The previous card shows "The company has been in Parole Camps at Enterprise, MS, since last mustered, and a part has been "declared exchanged" recently. It did show him sick in the hospital on a couple of the rolls but present after that so I am assuming that he returned to his company. I have yet to find Joel listed on any of the casualty lists that I've found but the story is that he was killed either in Vicksburg or possibly in Georgia. According to everything I've found, Joel was one of five brothers (Joel A, William Wesley, James Sterling, George R, and John Tillman) that served in the war. Notes say they were all in company C except for George R who is showing listed as Company G and who was killed supposedly in Manassas, although I have yet to confirm on any of the brothers except Joel. Does anyone have anything showing what happened to Joel? Or to George? I'm new at researching this so please bear with me if I am confusing. Any information that I can find on any of the brothers would be greatly appreciated. I do plan a trip back over to the archives in Mississippi but just haven't had time right now. Thanks!
