Looking for info.on the 6th SC Infantry ,Company D & G . A family member name Robert Bankhead fought with them he was born in S.C. 1829, his death was in 1862 . and Died in Holly Springs, Marshall Mississippi. Hope someone could have some info. would there be any war records on him and if he died in battle or at home,as the family moved to Holly springs,poast civil war at least thats what i have been told.
