If anyone who researches the 38th is interested, I have a copy of a photograph taken around 1920 of some civil war vets who posed in front of an old church in Lamar County Mississippi. One of the men is my great great grandfather Rayford Russell and a few of the others are identified but not all. I do not think they are all from the 38th but men he knew who served in various units who lived in the area. I also have a faded copy of Rayford's burial with his children standing beside grave. He died in 1934. I would like for the photos to be passed to the archives or someone who might want copies for family research.
