Thats him, our camp adjutant just found it, this soldier from the 36th AL Co I, and i will never understand why that is called a BAMA regiment, because it is almost entirally a regiment of Wayne County MS men, and it appears many enlisted in Waynesboro, MS. We have a slew of them burried in Greene County from this 36th AL inf Co I and many we cant find cards on. I wish others would chime in on this, as Something is amiss with 36th ALA co I records. IS this unit Mislabled in the records? take a look at our Greene County Confederate Graves Registry and you will see what i'm saying Rick there is a bunch from co I an E we cant find. I spoke to Dan Mcaskill about this, as our original list was taken from his site and other lists as well. they are attached to the 36th because the MS dept of Archives has a record of them in it. Many folks including me would like to know where they got these records from, cause we cant find cards on a bunch listed in the MS CONF Graves Registry as 36th AL, 32 AL, and 56th AL some of the graves listed on MCGR as being in Greene COunty as a 36th ALA soldier, were found with 56th ALA CAV on the stones. Thanks for the help Rick!!!!!!! as until now this soldier was lost.
