I am Looking for birthdates on this John, we had him as 24th MS Inf Co A, but can find no records, upon looking at other local Units i find this John McInnis, John M. Sergeant Second Lieutenant L 27th Reg. MS Inf which was the Twiggs Rifles Raised In Jackson County MS, which is right next Door. Trying to find the right John His Brother was Daniel Henry Clay McIniss better known as Yankee Dan, as he swapped sides and served in the 1st New Orleans Union, the rest of the family Colon Randall and so on, served in the 24th MS Inf.
