Re: James D and John N Williamson

Well, what can I say, I was presented with this information by Ted Williamson....a gr gr grandson of John Newton...and I developed a collection of material on these two...all the time trying to find where they served in CSA. A rather interesting story...but not my Williamson family.

Do you have a 1907 MS record on James D Williamson that proves he served in l0th Battlion, Heavy Artillery from Nash county NC? I'd like to correct all the info out there that gives their father as J M Williamson...but know I'll never trace it all down. I have used your information to correct FindaGrave.

Now if I can find out what happened to our own John and James Williamson...Gee there are so many with these names.

Thank you both for presenting the first proof I've ever seen as to the parentage of John Newton.
Sincerely yours, Zelia Cline
