Re: Burial of the dead from the 1st battle of Fran

Jay,
There are two accounts of the 1st Battle of Franklin written by members of the 28th Mississippi in the Vicksburg Daily Whig, the first on April 25, 1863, and the second on April 28, 1863. There is also a third article, "The 28th Mississippi Cavalry at the Battle of Franklin," in The Daily Mississippian, April 29, 1863. If I remember correctly, this third article does mention the men in the regiment that were wounded or killed. If you have any questions, just email me at: championhilz@att.net
