July 4, 1863, paroled July 10, promoted 2nd Lieutenant December 8, 1863, reported as commanding Company G, 40th Mississippi on the Jan/Feb, 1864 muster roll, reported missing at Altoon, Ga. October 5, 1864, reached the enemy’s main line at Franklin, Tenn. November 30,1 864, captured near Nashville, Tenn. December 16, 1864, recorded as 1st Lieutenant, forwarded to Johnson’s Island prison from Louisville, Ky. December 20, released on Oath June 16, 1865, age 33, resident of Williamsburg, Miss., florid complexion, dark hair, blue eyes, 6’ 1”

* This company subsequently became (Old) Company B, 46th Regiment Mississippi Infantry
