Greetings; I have just received the info that my gggrandfather was in the 45th North Carolina Infantry. I am looking for any info on the unit, for me and to pass on to my Aunt. Any thing would be appreciated.

From my Aunt,"This is all the information that I have. Will this be enough to find out (We know he was killed during the war, for my grandmother never saw her father.) if he died on the field or in a hospital. Also is there a grave site or what? This I would like to know if this information is available."
