I have that Stephen D. Lee’s father was Thomas Lee. Stephen Lee was Colonel of the 16th NCT for a time. He did have a son named Stephen Lee. This Stephen died on August 8, 1862, in a Union Prison Camp. I think that Stephen Lee and Thomas Lee were brothers, making Stephen Lee the uncle of Lt. Gen. Stephen D. Lee.
