Your relative Private Drury Turner appears on page 658 of my book ALSO FOR GLORY - The Pettigrew - Trimble Charge at Gettysburg as a member of Company F of the 34th North Carolina who marched to Gettysburg in June 1863. His son William Turner served with him and was captured on July 14th at Falling Waters, Maryland during the retreat. Drury was 47 years old at the time of the Gettysburg campaign and his son William was 24. I am surprised this information is not in the North Carolina Archive files.
