thank you for your great info. there is conflicting info about him from diff.sources. one says he died, another says he survived the war. how can i get his definite age. there are many parham kirks in this old NC family. each generation had one. how do i get his vitals, burial in veteran's cemetery? did all these units combine. looks like he was in several. i dont have an education in the CW, so i dont know how they combined. anxious for any info. i have written for private family tree info, but not heard back yet. he is the connection to my ggrandfather, i think.
my GGgrandfather was James W. Kirk, who fought with MS regiment. no luck on his record either.
