Thanks for the response, and sorry for my late reply. Your information was most helpful. I'll sign up for historical data systems once I return to New Zealand, it seems like an invaluable resource. I was hoping you could help me one last time. I have a corporal Jackson O Beard (co.F 53rd NC regiment)listed as either being killed at Spotsylvania or Chancellorsville. This seems to happen a lot as the were both in early may and fought in the same county I believe? Could you clarify for me? Sorry to be a bother.
