Looking for any info on grave sites that our north carolina troops may be buried in from the war of 1862 and 1863.my Great Grandfather Henry Wade Byrd was in the 44th Co F Regt died Sept 12,1863 either at Bristoe or Orange Court House,VA.he was a farmer before the war.married to Martha Thompson.lived in Montgomery County,North Carolina Pee Dee Township.and can any one tell me why the the wars of 1862/1863 has little info.and what i do find it start after Sept. I get a lot on the wars of 1864/1865 .please help if you can on the graves sites.
