Hello Jim: I have been involved with researching my ancestors from the period of "The War of Northern Aggression" The writers of that period and on in today give little mention of the Brutal treatment of Southerners during and after the war. It is a sore point with me. Their action today would be considered "War Crimes"
Won't belabor the point but do bring it up at appropiate moments.
