We have recently received information that the name of our GGgrandfather, John H. Martin, may appear on the roster of the "Thomas Confederate Legion" Company "G" that was raised by William Holland Thomas in 1862 in western NC.

Our John H. Martin is known to have been born about 1835 in NC and living in Claiborne County, TN in 1860 census.
His wife's name was Sarah Jones.

I am seeking confirmation of this information, and details, if available, about this John H. Martin; and details about the Thomas Confederate Legion.
